The best thing was the reception staff. It's around 4-6 minutes away by foot from Arendsnest Dutch Beer Bar with nice drinks and cocktails. It was a 3-star hotel in every way;))
We booked this one night stay in Amsterdam fairly late and were not surprised by the price but slightly disappointed by the cons as listed.
Quite, central location. Clean room with very comfortable single beds and good en-suite. Staff very friendly.
No public rooms or bar etc. Small breakfast bar. Amsterdam priced at €230. Loft room difficult to negotiate winding stairs for elderly guests, which I’m afraid to say is what we are now!
the staff was very friendly, the location excellent and the rooms look nice.
a lot of noise from the street, single window gave a lit of draft
Excellent location closes to many bars and restaurants. Only a short walk to the tram system. Our room had a superb view over the canal. Free wirless internet.
Room was rather small for the price but adequately appointed. Really no public rooms except for a small breakfast area.
The location is excellent, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was good.
The bathroom had some humidity problems and the luggage storage room was very small and unguarded.
Nice, quiet location with a beautiful view of the canals. Within a short walk from Centraal Station and the heart of Amsterdam. The staff were incredbily helpful and friendly, recommending restaurants and coffee shops in the area.
The room was very small.
Price and location are gerat.
very good location
There is no connection between the rooms at the practice and those shown in the pictures on the website. The rooms at the hotel are much smaller than the pictures displayed on the site of the hotel. I felt I had fallen victim to fraud in the context of the size of the rooms at the hotel. They are extremely small.
great location, close to the sites and ameneties of the city, but in a quiet scenic location on a canal. Good knowledgable staff who knew the city very well.
Noisy plumbing, no soundproofing, very small room - all compensated for by the quaintness of a 15th century building in a lovely location.
- Shower in the closet - Carpet floor - Not enough air circulation in the room - Mattresses are too soft
Location was on a quiet canal, close to Anne Franks house and central station Rooms are quite modern and funky Good breakfast friendly Staff and alot help booking trips
Charged for a cup of coffee at reception, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room beds are way to soft, my wife and I had to sleep on two single beds pushed together to make a double. It would of been fine except they did not use a double bottom sheet so the beds would split apart. No do not disturb card for door, maid tried to open door even though my wife holding the door closed.
Free Wi Fi Clean Lovely bathroom accessories comfy beds :) Was upgraded to a canal view room! :) Calm and homey coffee shop, right around the corner. Professional relaxed customer service English T.V Channels 5 Minute walk from the DAM Many nice "non touristic" restaurants and bars in the area Modern elevator Great acoustics in the room (No outside noises), compared to other Amsterdam hotels. The area in itself is very quite and romantic, many flowers in every house, nice walking boulevards. We loved it! :)
All rooms are non smoking rooms... :(
The design is good with excellent location. Staff are friendly. The only thing is to suggest clean-up of bathroom wall tiles which are blackened and does not look good.
- Great location. - Cool concept/interior. - Nice breakfast place.
- At night, to much noise inside the hotel. - No friendly staff for check in & check out.
Having just come from asia where service is excellent I found the service polite, but lacking. The lift did not work and we had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs with no offer of assistance. We arrived after an all night flight yet zero effort was made to help us into a room until the last minute -3pm. We had a small clean room at a very high price but that was all.
The lift did not work and we had to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs with no offer of assistance. I am 61 year of age and it was not healthy or safe to do so but there was no help. We arrived after an all night flight yet zero effort was made to help us into a room until the last minute -3pm. We had a small clean room at a very high price but that was all. I have no complaints but service was polite and minimal.
